I so wish you've gotten it. The art wasn't bad but I would've prefered yours.
But ironically the artwork was the best, I didn't like the script(nothing to do with the games spirit, just another Dracula story with some fanservice to lure the fans, Dracula spent most of the series in the nude! Where the hell that came from?!
I didn't read the books so I don't know anything about the writing or the coloring or the nude parts. It would have been cool to work on, but the licensor said I wasn't right for the job. Oh well.
Castlevania would be a dream job for me too, but the story for this one was really bad, only the first issue was interesting then it's just rushed and aimless-not to mention it held almost any respect for the games storyline.
And yes, oddly enough Dracula only wore clothes once, then at one point(think it was issue 2) he transforms into a bat (therefore loosing his clothing) and just stays hanging around naked for the rest of the mini-series.Now, not there's anything horribly wrong with that, but it struck me as this Dracula was something of a huge hedonist, because not only was he naked he kept trying to seduce Belmont's wife which really felt out of character for Castlevania's Dracula which is more like a warlord/magician rather than the standard horny vampire
And the coloring wasn't bad, it just felt out of place for this series because it used very bright and highly saturated colors all the time, not only it goes against the mood but also it wasn't common that clothing had that much color in that time period.
So I don't think it was a huge loss not to be part in that comic. And there's always the possibility of a relaunch!
