Wayward 6 sketch cover by Stekichikun
Wayward 6 sketch cover
I got a small stack of the sketch convention variants for issue 6 of Wayward (due out in just a few days).  I am not attending any US conventions this year but I didn't want these things to go to waste so I did one up with Ayane the cat girl.  Copics and tone on a comic book cover.  Proper.

3rd Eye Waywrd 6 variant cover
The nice people at 3rd eye have asked for a variant cover for Wayward issue 6 for their store and here is the line art.  We are obviously parodying something here...

A moment of revelation
A favorite page of mine from Wayward issue 5.  This is the moment we start to hint at the true nature of Ayane.  Issue 6 is due out in March!

Wayward issue 5 cover lineart
It's been a while since I posted anything here but with Wayward underway and chugging along I wanted to add something new.  So here is the line art to Wayward 5.  This book is so much fun to draw.  Enjoy

I live in Japan and draw comic books for a living.

Current Residence: Japan, the right-hand side of the big island...
I have been contacted about when I might put my original doushinshi, Oblivion Planet, on sale in America.

Here are the covers to issue 1:…

and issue 2:…

So I have decided to offer it up for sale.  So far there are two issues at 12 and 18 pages (for issues 1 and 2 respectively), they are A4 size, and are in Japanese.  Sorry, but there is no English.  If you are interested in a Japanese language book I am selling both as a set for $10 with shipping being $3.  So $13 total (payment through Paypal only please).  Shipping should take 2 weeks.  Anyone who wants a set should just message me here.  Thanks!

What's up? It's awesome to know you're here. I've been fascinated by your line work for a long time. (Well, since the first issue of Wayward) I especially love the expressions and directions you've drawn out in the recent 6th issue. It's been a long wait this year for it too, but well worth it once it finally got released. I look forward to more at the end of each upcoming month. Thank you, and keep it up. Clap #1

My current series is Wayward from Image comics, a story set in Japan about the half-Irish half-Japanese Rori Lane and her life after she moves there.  Lots of other series in the past as well.  Thanks!

Jim Zub mentioned you on Twitter, so I followed that trail here. ;) I'm delighted that you live in Japan! Me, too! I'd love to hear your story on that. Great attention to detail you have. I love your line weight, too. Thanks for sharing your work here on Da. I'll know when you post new stuff from now on. :)
